The Municipality of the District of Digby is offering water vouchers to residents who are experiencing dry wells. These vouchers are intended to provide access to safe drinking and cooking water during this period of water shortage. The program will begin on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, and will continue until further notice.
Vouchers for the Temporary Water Relief Program are available for pickup at the Municipal Office, located at 12548 Highway 217, Seabrook, from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m (excluding holidays).
Evening pickup times from 5:00pm to 7:00pm will also be available on the following dates:
- Wednesday, November 5th
- Friday, November 14th
- Thursday, November 20th
- Monday, November 24th
- Monday, December 1st
How the program works:
- Fill out the registration form to be eligible to receive vouchers.
- Each voucher can be exchanged for one (1) 4L bottle of water.
- Each person can receive one voucher per day (Residents can pick up vouchers one week in advance).
- Each household can receive up to four (4) vouchers (4 bottles) per day, even if more than four people live there. For example:

- A household of 2 people = 2 bottles of 4L per day
- A household of 5 people = 4 bottles of 4L per day
Vouchers are tracked by number and civic address, and you must live in the Municipality of Digby to qualify. Only households within the Municipality of Digby that are experiencing a clean water shortage are eligible to receive vouchers. Vouchers can only be used to purchase 4L bottles of water. Other bottle sizes (500ml, 18L, etc.) are not eligible for this program.
Where can I redeem my vouchers?
Bring your vouchers to a participating location to exchange them for 4L bottles of water. Participating locations are as follows:
