Councillor Manzer’s priorities include improving access to healthcare services close to home, maintaining a stable tax rate, and supporting recreational opportunities for both youth and adults. He hopes to help build a community where families can thrive and enjoy a strong quality of life.
A lifelong resident of the municipality, George was born and raised in Ashmore and has lived in the area his entire life, aside from the years he attended university. He values the rural setting, peaceful lifestyle, and friendly people that make the community special.
George spent 30 years teaching in Weymouth. His lifelong connection to the community and understanding of its residents’ hopes and priorities have helped prepare him for municipal service.
Born and raised in Ashmore, George returned to the area to teach and raised his three children there. In his free time, he enjoys working in the woods, gardening, helping his wife with her flower gardens, playing hockey, and golfing.
Councillor Manzer encourages residents to connect with him by phone, email, or in person in the community to share their questions, concerns, and ideas.
