Water Vouchers for Residents with Dry Wells
The Municipality of the District of Digby is offering water vouchers to residents who are experiencing dry wells. These vouchers are intended to provide access to safe drinking and cooking water during this period of water shortage.
Vouchers for the Temporary Water Relief Program are available for pickup at the Municipal Office, located at 12548 Highway 217, Seabrook, from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (excluding holidays).
The program will begin on Thursday, July 2, 2026, and will continue until further notice.
Each household is eligible to receive up to four (4) litres of bottled water per person per day, with a maximum of four 4L bottles per household per day. Only households within the Municipality of Digby that are experiencing a clean water shortage are eligible to receive vouchers.
Residents can pick up vouchers two weeks in advance. Vouchers can be redeemed for 4L bottles of water at any of the following participating locations:
- Scallop Shell
- Sobeys
- Atlantic Superstore
- Conway Quick Stop
- Circle K (Irving)
- Bear River Grocery
- Weymouth Mercantile
- Weymouth Foodland
- Walkers Convenience - Wilsons Gas
- RE Robicheau Ltd.
- Long Island Trading Co.
- School St Market
